Watching cartoons can increase our imagination and excitement.

Hello there! We would like to share with all of you about history of some well known cartoons.

MICKEY MOUSE

Mickey Mouse is one of the world's oldest and most famous vermin in the world - rubbing shoulders with everyone from Goofy to Britney Spears.

Mickey Mouse was born in Walt Disney's imagination early in 1928 on a train ride from New York to Los Angeles and was created to replace an earlier Disney character, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, who bore a striking resemblance to early Mickey drawings. Mickey's creator, Ub Iwerks, came up with a lot of characters on his way to creating Mickey, including frogs, dogs, horses, cows and cats. Irwerks said he was inspired to create a mouse that had the spirit of Charlie Chaplin. Mickey made his first appearance in the cartoon Plane Crazy in 1928. Before the name Mickey pops up, Walt Disney named him Mortimer but Walt’s wife thought the name Mortimer was too pompous and she suggested Mickey. A star was born!

Mickey Mouse made his screen debut on November 18, 1928, as star of the first sound cartoon, Steamboat Willie. Since his debut, Mickey Mouse has become an international personality whose success laid the financial foundation upon which Walt Disney built his creative organization. Besides being the personification of everything Disney, Mickey Mouse has become one of the most universal symbols of the Twentieth Century.

Mickey originally appeared in silent cartoons, but by the end of 1928 he appeared in the cartoon Steamboat Willie, which featured synchronized music and sound. Steamboat Willie actually found a distributer before Plane Crazy did, so it's often considered Mickey's true "debut." Mickey whistled and made other noises in the short but didn't actually speak until 1929. Walt Disney himself voiced Mickey - his first line was "Hot dogs, hot dogs!" Most other film studios at the time were still producing silent cartoons, so Disney took the lead and never looked back.

Mickey continued to grow and evolve throughout the 20th century, moving into comic strips, feature films, video games, theme parks and a ton of games and toys. He first appeared in colour in 1935 in the cartoon called "The Band Concert". He got his now-standard gloves in the 1929 short The Opry House. Mickey's appearance changed steadily from his creation onwards. What is often considered the "classic version" of Mickey is the one that was designed by Floyd Gottfredson. The most popular version, however, is the Mickey created by Italian illustrator Romano Scarpa.

One of the finest tributes to Mickey Mouse was given by Walt Disney himself when, on his first television show as he surveyed Disneyland, Walt said, " I hope we never lose sight of one fact... that this was all started by a Mouse."

FAIRY TAIL

BEGINNING

In the land of Fiore, magic is everywhere. Sorcerers are like skilled tradesmen who band together in "guilds" and take on paying assignments for non-magic wielders, like hunting monsters, retrieving lost items or running odd errands. Lucy Heartfilia is a 17-year-old celestial wizard who runs away from home to join Fairy Tail, a rambunctious wizards' guild whose members are famous for their overly destructive antics. Along the way, she meets Natsu Dragneel, a boy who is traveling the land of Fiore together with his partner Happy, a flying cat, in search of his foster parent, a dragon named Igneel who had disappeared seven years earlier. Lucy is soon abducted by a renegade wizard posing as the famous Salamander of Fairy Tail. Natsu rescues Lucy, revealing himself to be the real Salamander and a Dragon Slayer, a wizard with the abilities of a dragon. After defeating the imposter, Natsu allows Lucy to join Fairy Tail.

 Production

After finishing his previous work, Rave MasterHiro Mashima found the story sentimental and sad at the same time, so he wanted the `storyline of Fairy Tail to have a "lot of fun [for everyone]". When originally creating the series, Mashima was inspired by magicians and wizards. When writing individual chapters of Fairy Tail, Mashima takes a five day process: on Monday, the script and storyboards are written. On Tuesday, Mashima writes rough sketches. From Wednesday to Friday, he finishes the drawing and inking on the chapters. Mashima usually begins new chapters after completing the previous ones. For the characters of the series, Mashima drew upon people he has known in his life. In establishing the father-son relationship between Natsu and Igneel, Mashima cited his father's death when he was a child as an influence. Mashima based the humorous aspects of the series on his assistants would make jokes about things that gave him ideas, as well as from both his work and daily life.

Main Characters:

Lucy
Lucy is an aspiring celestial wizard, which means she has a ring of magic keys that she uses to conjure up powerful magical entities. Flirtatious and ambitious, Lucy dreams of joining Fairy Tail, a famous (and super-cool) guild of powerful wizards.

Natsu
Red-headed wizard Natsu is a happy-go-lucky guy who loves a good meal and a great adventure. His fire magic is unique, even amongst wizards. He's not only fireproof, he eats fire, shoots fire and super-powers his punches with fire. His major weakness? He's prone to motion sickness and can barely ride a car, train or plane without getting stomach-churning nausea.

Happy
Wide-eyed Happy is a talking blue kitty who is Natsu's sidekick and companion. Happy's not strong, but he wields a special kind of magic called Aera, which temporarily gives him wings and the ability to fly.

Gray Fullbuster
Gray is an ice wizard who has a constant rivalry with Natsu. While they're fellow Fairy Tail guild members, Natsu and Gray are always constantly bickering. Gray's unexplainable eccentricity? He tends to forget that he's half-naked half the time.

Erza Scarlet
Armored and dangerous, Erza is fierce woman warrior-wizard who can whoop giant monsters and intimidate her fellow rowdy Fairy Tail wizards into polite submission.
